Our Stylists

Virlena McUne
Salon Owner & Stylist

I love what I do while maintaining a loyal and diverse clientele as a hairdresser at Indigo Salon. With over 30 years of experience, I continue to perfect my skills and, I’m always eager to work with countless professionals to achieve the highest quality of salon services.

Detail-oriented and thorough, I specialize in haircutting and coloring in fresh new ways by educating myself in the latest hair trends. I am color certified with hands-on experience using several professional color lines. My experience also includes having worked as a trainer for Sebastian International and teaching at one of the area beauty academies in Denver. I have participated in hundreds of weddings, runway fashion and stage work for Fashion for the Cure, The Denver Art Institute Runway Show, area bridal expos, and numerous salon competitions.

In 2018, after being part of the team at Indigo for 13 years, the opportunity presented itself to take over the business. Without even a second thought, a dream was achieved! My salon concepts have taken what was already such a great place to be, to a higher level! Having a background in leadership and customer service, the team and I at Indigo, continue to grow and perfect our craft.

Rowdy Greene
Licensed Massage Therapist

My background includes experience as a certified personal trainer and as the salon coordinator at Indigo Salon, informing my perspective on movement and client care. As a licensed massage therapist practicing at Indigo, I provide bodywork services aimed at helping clients reconnect with their bodies and support their well-being.

My approach to massage therapy is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of both Eastern and Western techniques, enabling me to provide an integrative and personalized session for each client. I offer a range of bodywork modalities, including flowing Thai stretches, classical Swedish massage, targeted reflexology, acupressure, and myofascial release. I also incorporate tools such as hot and cold stones, gua sha, and cupping therapy. Recognizing the interconnectedness of mind and body, I integrate breathwork, aromatherapy, and principles of Thai element theory.

Marika Laing
Esthetician

I love my work. I love meeting new people and helping them care for their most precious asset—their skin! In my early years as a make-up artist, I enjoyed helping people actualize their different personas by applying makeup. Working in a retail setting allowed me to see what people are really looking for. I also learned a lot about what people like and dislike most about their skin. I wanted to be educated on how to help!

Now, as an esthetician, I love helping people cultivate their natural glow and unique beauty. My approach is simple, yet informative. My goal is to help you fall in love with your skin and teach you how to maintain it at home. I am here to remind you that with a little time and attention, you can bring your skin to the next level of health and beauty.

Emmy Dill
Hair Artist

Hi, I’m Emmy Dill like the pickle, but more into foils than fermentation. I’ve been a hairstylist for over 10 years and specialize in lived-in color — think foilyage, balayage, and all things blonde — with the occasional fun color moments. I also love working with curls and creating personalized haircuts. My goal is to create effortlessly dimensional hair that grows out beautifully and fits your lifestyle. Outside of the salon, I’m a bit of a hobby collector. My favorite color changes with my mood, I’m oddly incredible at the Tilt-a-Whirl, and I love getting lost in a good book. I also freelance as a graphic designer, so if you’re ever in need of branding or design work, I’ve got you covered there too! While I work in a shared salon space, my chair is your little corner to relax. You’re totally welcome to chat, listen to music, catch up on a book, or just zone out and enjoy some quiet time. However you’re feeling, you’re welcome to show up just as you are.

Elizabeth Neverbloom
Barber

I’m a trans, west coast trained barber who provides a traditional barber shop atmosphere without the tradition of misogyny. After graduating barber school back in 2021, I moved here, to Colorado in July to pursue my passion! My love of queer styles continues to grow just as fast as your hair.

My hair pursuits are blurry fades, textured styles, and clean lines. When I’m not behind the chair I spend my time cycling around cap hill or playing/watching baseball! My goal as your barber is to learn and grow with your hair. If you leave smiling, so do I. The Outlaw Barber is the name. Affirming haircuts is my game.

Haris Hupperts
Hairstylist

Hi, I’m Haris! I’ve been in the hair industry for 12 years and still love it just as much as day one. I specialize in traditional highlights, fun colors, and haircuts — whether you’re looking for something subtle or bold, I’m here to help bring your vision to life. When I’m not behind the chair, I’m usually hanging out with my sister and her kids, relaxing with my dog and salon sidekick Collette Marie (aka Coco), or just recharging for the week ahead. Coco holds it down as part floor manager, part emotional support supervisor — she’s definitely everyone’s favorite coworker.

Collette ``Coco`` Marie Hupperts
Floor Manager & Morale Booster

Hi, I’m Collette Marie — but you can call me Coco. I’m the dedicated, furry director of first impressions at the salon. My most important jobs include being the emotional support supervisor, floor manager, front door greeter, and official mascot here at Indigo Salon. I’m very part time, working some days 10–3, making my rounds, sniffing feet, and keeping the vibes right. I’m shmedium-sized with a wire-haired coat, tan spots like a cow, and not to brag but, truly iconic eyebrows. I’m chill, mistaken for an old lady (I’m only six), treat-motivated, and very well-behaved.

When I’m at work, you’ll usually find me napping by my mom Haris’ chair, demanding belly rubs whenever someone hasn’t looked my way in a few minutes, or catching up with my neighborhood dog friend, Sanora. I am a loyal companion to all the stylists and the true heart of the salon. I rarely bark, I always listen, and I’m proud to be the goodest girl on staff. (I know this, because they tell me.)
